General Information About the Law

Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data was adopted on March 24, 2016, published in the Official Gazette No. 29677 on April 7, 2016, and came into effect on that date.

According to Article 32 titled "Enforcement" of Law No. 6698, Articles 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 came into effect six months after the publication date, on October 7, 2016. This law was enacted to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, particularly the privacy of private life, in the processing of personal data, and to outline the obligations of natural and legal persons who process personal data, as well as the procedures and principles to which they must adhere.

Information Regarding the Data Controller

As the COMPANY, whose detailed corporate information is provided below, we will process your personal data in accordance with the relevant legislation, acting as the Data Controller under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Methods of Collecting Your Personal Data

Your personal data may be collected by our companies through various channels such as:

  • The operations carried out by our business units

  • Purchases and sales of goods and services, or other activities

  • Forms collected during customer visits

  • Inquiries, information requests, or complaints related to services, purchases, and commercial activities

This collection may be verbal, written, or electronic and carried out in accordance with legislative, contractual, and technological requirements.

Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data

Your personal data is processed for purposes including but not limited to:

  • Negotiating, establishing, and executing contracts that are concluded or being considered

  • Investigating, identifying, and preventing breaches of contracts and laws, and reporting them to relevant administrative or judicial authorities

  • Managing the product and service processes offered by our company, including processing data related to customer/supplier employees and other individuals involved in service or procurement transactions

  • Fulfilling requests from official institutions and organizations and implementing decisions communicated to our company

  • Processing data when it is mandatory for establishing, using, or protecting a right

In processing your personal data, we comply with the principles of lawfulness and honesty, relevance, proportionality, accuracy, and keeping data up to date when necessary. Your data will be processed for specific, clear, and legitimate purposes and retained for the period required by relevant legislation or for the purposes for which they are processed.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred for the purposes listed above to:

  • Our business partners, affiliates, service providers, and subcontractors

  • Regulatory and supervisory institutions, and official authorities in cases prescribed by relevant legislation

In order to carry out our activities (e.g., support in information systems management and storage, data analysis), we may disclose your personal data to third-party service providers. In these transfers, we ensure that the shared personal data is limited to the service provided, and all necessary measures are taken to protect your transferred personal data.

Your Rights Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data

As a data subject, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

a) To learn whether your personal data is processed b) To request information if your personal data has been processed c) To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with that purpose ç) To know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad d) To request correction if your personal data is incomplete or inaccurately processed e) To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions set forth in Article 7 of KVKK f) To request notification of the transactions made pursuant to subparagraphs (d) and (e) to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred g) To object to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing the data processed solely through automated systems ğ) To request compensation for damages if you suffer harm due to unlawful processing of your personal data

You can submit your request to exercise these rights to us in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.

How to Contact Us?

You can submit your requests within the scope of Article 11 of KVKK, which regulates the rights of the data subject, to the address 7405 Sokak, No. 8, Pınarbaşı, İzmir, Postal Code 35060, via registered mail with return receipt requested, or through a notary. Alternatively, you may send your request personally with a wet signature, ensuring your identity verification. You may also send it to our email address kvkk@sunraenerji.com.tr using your secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or your registered email address. While data subjects' requests will generally be concluded free of charge, if responding to the request requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged as determined by relevant legislation.
